The 2 weeks after the 3 day reboot

Most likely you have just finished the 3 day reboot  and are looking for next steps. Reboot was important for a variety of reasons - take a pause, flush toxins etc. Now it's time to build real health. Good news is that some of the practices you have institutionalized in these 3 days continue as is. for the next 2 weeks follow the following guidelines to the best of your ability for maximum benefit

Two weeks of sustained cleansing
Daily meals - stay the course with what you used throughout the 3 day reboot plan . Drop the psyllium husk(isabgol) from the drinks. We introduced husk primarily to assist with flushing and cleansing and it has served it's purpose. It's great to use it 6 months later again for the same purpose. Sort of like Spring and Fall cleaning routine.

These 2 weeks
A - Stay with
1. Dal without tadka. Stay with the lighter dals if you can - mung, arhar.

B - Stay away from
1. Anything that is harder or needs more than one whistle in pressure cooker to cook.
2. Complicated sabzeeyaan(vegetables) that are over cooked and laden with too much spices. ... especially no tadka(sauted, deep fried spices)
3.
Potential toxins found in - gluten, dairy, soy, sugar, anything deep fried and poultry/meats (eggs too). No need to eliminate food, but eliminate the toxins (gluten, dairy etc.) . Getting rid of these core elements would automatically eliminate 99% of un-healthy stuff like Samose, Jalebi, Bread based edibles, most mithais, Deep fried foods used during fasting, breaded nuggets etc.

C - Add
1. Good fats - Organic coconut oil, Oliver oil, Avocado oil, Ghee. you can add these to dal.
2. One serving of nuts (almonds, walnuts)

D - Heal the gut
here's the deal - our gut contains 80%+ of the immune system. Over time, bad food and toxins damage the lining and food particles as well as toxins get into our blood stream. Impact of this is devastating - things like gluten have a molecular structure similar to many parasites and foreign bodies which our immune system is programmed to kill.
The only way to fix this is to fix the gut lining. for this, add a tsp of L-Glutamine powder to early AM Green Smoothies. You dont need to continue adding this after these 2 weeks. Once an year for 2 weeks does the trick

It might not be evident, so let's recap what we have done in these 2 weeks. We have
1. Added good fats to our food supply. > 60% of our cells are made of fat. Adding good fats will allow healthy cell production
2. Added great sources of Proteins with nature's perfect balance of good fats (nuts)

Remember
1. Our focus is not on one constituent - like carb, protein, fat, a specific mineral etc. Focus is on getting us our bodies back to what they naturally crave for and are built for.
2. Any cleansing routine is only effective in long term if we imbibe the best practices after the 2 weeks are over as well. At a minimum, stay with at least the herbal tea, warm water and juicing routine after these 2 weeks as well. It's like days of observance/fasting. There are people who are very aware of how they conduct themselves during the days of observance - physically, mentally and spiritually. As soon as the days are over, they go back to their 'normal' self. It defeats the purpose of any observance all-together. Do not fall into the trap. Stay mindfully healthy and build great health. God bless

Unlocking the Pharmacy within

# 1 - Reading, watching, listening material  Food supplies ~ 1/3rd of the nutrition our bodies need. and relatively speaking it is the easy part. The rest ⅔ rds take a little bit more conscious work. In no order of priority, these elements constitute rest 2/3rd : 0) Epi-Genetics NOT Genes  Genes -  do NOT determine whether a person gets Diabetes (or most other diseases). Genes predispose us to certain things, but Epi-Genetics, i.e. the conditions that are created in the body for conditions to either manifest or stay dormant are responsible for onset and progression of disease. Of course there are exceptions like Type 1 Diabetes and other at-birth conditions Epi-Genetics, meaning the conditions then are created and managed by a few things a) our beliefs and patterns  b) Food – we put ~ 1000 pounds of food or food like objects in our bodies every year. If a few mg of nsaids and statins have such noticeable impacts, what is the impact / contribution of a 1000 pounds of ...
