Anti-oxidant, Anti-inflammatory Herbal Tea

Below is a great recipe for herbal tea. It is great for the entire family and keeps infections away, helps heal very quickly and is a natural anti-inflammatory drink. Health benefits are way too many to list, but here's a quick list for you
1. Strengthen immunity in all seasons - the ability to fight infections, cold, flu, seasonal allergies and more
2. Anti-inflammatory. If these 2 words don't mean a whole lot to you other than reminding you of your favorite medicine like aspirin or ibuprofen, just know that 'all', yes that's right 'all' diseases are caused by inflammation in our bodies
3. Anti-acid. Acidity and inflammation often go hand in hand. One thing common in both is that Acidic bodies are the breading ground for fatal auto-immune diseases like Cancer. Again, your favorite antacid medicine is not the cure - it merely suppresses the symptoms. Creating an alkaline environment in your body is the solution
4. Assist in speedy recovery after accidents and sports injuries. If you are thinking you are covered with your favorite over the counter medicine/tablet... just keep in mind that using medications for life saving situations is one thing, using them for long term and real healing is another. Hard medications create a lot of overload on our mircobiome (A natural collection of 70 - 100 trillion bacteria in our gut). When our body is hurt microbiome works in many documented and millions of yet to be understood ways to heal our body. Damaging the microbiome is not that hard with overdose of alcohol, OTC medications, lack of rest & sleep and most importantly with negative thought patterns of guilt, anger and stress - irrespective of where the stress came from.

Quick 5 minute version
# 1 : Dry ingredients
1 cardamom
1 clove
1/2" cinnamon
few seeds of black pepper - This is key as black pepper helps with absorption of nutrients in turmeric. Turmeric is one of the most potent anti-inflammatory herbs known to exist.

Dry grind all of the above ingredients in a dry grinder enough for at least a couple weeks. E.g. use vitamix dry grinder jar - very simple vs. the coffee grinders which are very small - though they work just fine too

# 2 : Fresh Ingredients
½" Fresh turmeric,
½" fresh ginger

With Caffeine
1. Take # 1 and # 2, blend them in your blender with water
2. Add non-dairy milk and sweetener like honey, maple syrup to taste.

Without Caffeine
1. Take # 1 and # 2, blend them in your blender with water
2. Pass through a sieve
3. Warm it up
4. add a spoon of honey and enjoy
5. Remaining fiber in sieve - use it in pasta or some other dish which has gravy or in your smoothie.

15 minute version. This has a few additional ingredients though the steps are exactly the same :
# 1 : Dry ingredients
1 cardamom
1 clove
1/2" cinnamon
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2" licorice root
1-2 dried Kokum
few seeds of black pepper - This is key as black pepper helps with absorption of nutrients in turmeric. Turmeric is one of the most potent anti-inflammatory herbs known to exist.
1 tea-spoon of cumin seeds

Dry grind all of the above ingredients in a dry grinder enough for at least a couple weeks. E.g. use vitamix dry grinder jar - very simple vs. the coffee grinders which are very small - though they work just fine too

# 2 : Fresh Ingredients
½" Fresh turmeric,
½" fresh ginger

Steps
1. Take # 1 and # 2, blend them in your blender with water
2. Pass through a sieve
3. Warm it up
4. add a spoon of honey and enjoy
5. Remaining fiber in sieve - use it in pasta or some other dish which has gravy or in your smoothie.

Benefits
This is a very powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and healing potion/tea .. start the day with it and have it as many times as you want. See if you can substitute at least one of your sugary hot drinks with this per day for starters.

I know the # of ingredients sounds daunting if you don't have them in the pantry but once you dry grind them they last for weeks and ongoing operational expense is fresh Turmeric and Ginger only which is only a couple minutes / day

Winter adaptation: double the quantity of these ingredients in winter months - i.e.
2 cardamoms
2 cloves
1" cinnamon
double the # of black pepper seeds
2 tea-spoons of cumin seeds

God Bless and stay 'awarefully' healthy

Unlocking the Pharmacy within

# 1 - Reading, watching, listening material  Food supplies ~ 1/3rd of the nutrition our bodies need. and relatively speaking it is the easy part. The rest ⅔ rds take a little bit more conscious work. In no order of priority, these elements constitute rest 2/3rd : 0) Epi-Genetics NOT Genes  Genes -  do NOT determine whether a person gets Diabetes (or most other diseases). Genes predispose us to certain things, but Epi-Genetics, i.e. the conditions that are created in the body for conditions to either manifest or stay dormant are responsible for onset and progression of disease. Of course there are exceptions like Type 1 Diabetes and other at-birth conditions Epi-Genetics, meaning the conditions then are created and managed by a few things a) our beliefs and patterns  b) Food – we put ~ 1000 pounds of food or food like objects in our bodies every year.
