Keep the following things in mind
# 1 Not every fruit, vegetable, seed, nut, oil is a natural fit with each other. You can research on this for a few years or recall some of the wisdom you have learnt from your own mother (or father) when you were growing up. Things like - don't mix yogurt with ghee, don't mix milk with citrus etc. There are some similar unnatural combinations like these, so see if you can avoid them. E.g.
a. Nuts and citrus
b. Seeds (flax, chia) and citrus
c. Greens and Milk (not that we have listed any and not that humans need cow's milk but highlighting in case you use cow's milk for any concoctions)
d. Yogurt and Greens
e. Greens and coconut, almond milk
Every physical body constitution is different, unique in it's own ways. There is no common prescription for any recipe which applies unequivocally to every body. It is important to discover your own sweet spot for elements that work best for you and in which combination. All it takes is being aware of your own body and listen to what it is trying to communicate back to you. You drank way too much last night and now your belly and head hurt - where it's hurting in the belly is your liver not your stomach in most cases. These are all your own bodies feedback back to you on what is not working. i know, this was extreme. but even for non-extreme foods body still communicates back to us - albeit in less severe ways. Be aware of the messages, listen to them and see what works best.
# 2 Cycle everything - there is nothing in nature which does not have some toxins in it. After all, toxins are what allowed species to survive. There are ways to minimize those toxins by soaking, sprouting & fermenting, but even with that - cycle all foods and ideally with the seasons. Meaning, if squash season is over in your region, stop eating squash and so on. Greens are full of nutrition, they are full of oxalates as well and can contribute to load on kidneys, calcium depletion etc. --- again the point is to keep rotating between the veggies and fruits of the season vs. picking up produce from the supermarket or ordering online with disregard for seasons .. If you stick with the seasons as much as possible, cycling foods is easy and inevitable.
cheers to being mindfully healthy : )
